Economic Policy During a Pandemic

January 24, 2022

Course | During the global pandemic nations made tradeoffs, or believed that tradeoffs had to be made, between health and wealth. This course uses the COVID-19 pandemic as a case study to teach economic policy analysis and will help students learn the theoretical, institutional, and technical issues needed for effective economic policy research and advocacy.

The New School for Social Research Winter Intensive program in 2022 offered an online economics class - "Economic Policies During A Pandemic" - taught by Teresa Ghilarducci, Director of the Scwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis (SCEPA) and Irene and Bernard L Schwartz Professor of Economics and Policy Analysis at The New School for Social Research.
